Events Promotion

Attention local event organizers!

The Cape May County Herald is launching a new online platform for the promotion of local events. Powered by Evvnt, this new calendar will reach more people than ever, with syndication across a network of events sites, enhanced search engine optimization, and the ability to sell tickets through Eventbrite!

With this change in platform comes a change in our policy regarding event submissions. The calendar, both in print and online, is intended to display a variety of unique, local happenings with broad community appeal. We will no longer be accepting event submissions which represent routine business activities, such as weekly classes, meetings, and tours. While this change will mean fewer events on our calendar, we believe it will make the calendar a more powerful promotional tool for those truly special events that you host throughout the year.

We will work with local organizations affected by this change, on a case-by-case basis, to seek an appropriate alternative method of sharing this info (press release, link to the calendar on your site, etc). We will reach out to some of our frequent contributors directly.

Events entered into our old calendar platform for the month of January, 2019, have been migrated to the new calendar. If you have submitted an event for February or beyond, and it meets the new criteria outlined above, please resubmit it using the new event submission form. You can find that by clicking this link and using the Promote Your Event button in the top-right corner.

Thank you for choosing the Herald to promote your events! We look forward to serving our advertisers and readers ever better in the new year!
