Construction work on a $23 million drainage project, aimed at alleviating flooding in the Pacific Avenue business district, should wrap up by the beginning of June, said Jim Oris, the engineer overseeing the project for Wildwood.

City Administrator Ronald Simone informed North Wildwood City Council Dec. 17 of the Army Corps of Engineer’s approval for the proposed pump station. According to officials, the station would occupy the parking lot at Olde New Jersey and Spruce avenues.
