The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) Sept. 14 announced year two of the popular Charge Up New Jersey Program, its electric vehicle (EV) incentive initiative, is expected to expend all funds ahead of schedule, moving New Jersey closer to Gov. Phil Murphy’s goal of 330,000 EVs by 2025.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) June 30 awarded a combined 2,658 MW of offshore wind capacity to EDF/Shell’s Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind and Ørsted’s Ocean Wind II.
"So far, for the commercial fishing industry, (the offshore) wind (turbine project) does not seem compatible," said Greg DiDomenico, of Lund's Fisheries, in Lower Township.
Mayor Richard Palombo affirmed his and Upper Township Committee's support of Orsted's stated direction.
