Legislation signed by Gov. Phil Murphy March 15 aims to help school districts restructure their finances amid the ongoing pandemic.
Gov. Phil Murphy and Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Brian Bridges Feb. 24 announced that $29.5 million in federal funding will be available to New Jersey’s institutions of higher education amid the ongoing Covid pandemic.
Several parents of West Wildwood students are unhappy with the idea, claiming their children are getting a better education at Margaret Mace School, the North Wildwood school where West Wildwood students are sent through eighth grade, than they would at Glenwood Avenue Elementary and Wildwood Middle School.
The legislation, sponsored by Assembly Democrats Robert Karabinchak, Mila Jasey, and Pamela Lampitt, was signed into law Sept. 14.
Gov. Phil Murphy and Department of Education Interim Commissioner Kevin Dehmer announced that New Jersey’s public and private school districts will be open for in-person instruction for the start of the school year.
The full Assembly approved legislation 71-3-1, sponsored by Assembly Democrats Robert Karabinchak, Mila Jasey and Pamela Lampitt, last Thursday.
