To the Editor:
It would be appreciated if your paper would actually apply journalistic principles in publishing any and all articles in your paper.
I’ve come to realize that the local media no longer falls under actual journalism, but I hold out hope that a local paper still believes in, and practices, fair and honest reporting.
That some people like Trump is understandable, but not liking him is fine, too. It’s just an opinion.
I have found the titles and gist of the articles to be oddly biased in support of Trump. For example, when reading "Van Drew” or "impeachment" articles, it’s frustrating to come across statements that are misleading, or presenting an obvious slant of the truth.
What the Herald should be doing is trying to explain what forces and strains in America drove this divisive election of someone like Trump, and how we can move forward as a country.
Instead, I fear that there will be many news articles about the president’s rally which will have listed his false accomplishments, like building a wall and prosecuting Clinton and Biden.
