Letters to the Editor 2019

To the Editor:

My name is Dr. Peter Olson. I’ve been a chiropractor for 35 years and have worked with Dr. Olivieri for the past 11 years.

I love being a chiropractor. I still practice, and this summer I decided to participate in the Work and Play Program at Morey’s Piers.

The Work and Play Program is where Morey’s hires adults to fill in for the shoulder seasons before their employees arrive from around the world.

I’ve always respected the Morey family and all they do for the community, however, after going through their training program, I have a new appreciation for their organization. Their training program is top-notch and safety is of the highest priority.

After hours of classroom training, ride operator training and testing, I was finally able to work as a ride operator. I can honestly say I’m glad I did it.

I found out, firsthand, about the great people who manage this organization and I met a lot of really nice locals and kids from different nationalities (the free season pass and discounted season passes for my family were greatly appreciated also).

I honestly believe that without Morey’s Piers, this county would definitely suffer. Thousands of people visit just to ride the rides.

If you haven’t lately, maybe the locals should send a word of thanks for all that Morey’s does for this community. I would recommend the Work and Play Program for next year.
