PETERSBURG - At the Upper Township Committee meeting Jan. 27, Engineer Paul Dietrich said during the first half of March, work would begin on the bulkheads in Strathmere.

The two bulkheads, which were scheduled to be replaced in 2020, are located at street ends, Putnam and Sumner avenues, and would meet the new standards for higher bulkheads.

Contractor Arthur Henry will be performing the work. It is anticipated the $234,800 project will be completed near the end of March.
