WEST CAPE MAY – The Environmental Commission Of West Cape May presents an informational program on mushrooms on Friday, February 10, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the West Cape May Borough Hall, 732 Broadway in West Cape May.
Mushrooms can be mysterious, powerful, and also delicious. They offer us just a glimpse into the immense fungal kingdom. Join Lin Conover of Woodsong Mushrooms, as we take a brief but fascinating journey into their functions, uses and potential to save the planet.
Lin Conover, owner of Wood Song Mushrooms LLC, first began learning about mushrooms through a deep dive into soil health and composting methods. With an appreciation for the integral role fungus has for our living planet, she began the process of identifying wild species and growing cultivated mushrooms.
Woodsong Mushrooms now provides fresh mushrooms and related products, in addition to educational programs. Nature/foraging walks and hands-on experiences.
