CAPE MAY - Americans for Prosperity and State Senator Jeff Van Drew (D-Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland) will hold a joint press conference this Tuesday in Cape May to announce the senator’s co-sponsorship of legislation to withdraw New Jersey from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) Cap & Trade Program.

The senator is the latest Democratic legislator to sign on to the repeal effort which now has the backing of 45 lawmakers in the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly.

Sen. Van Drew will call on his colleagues in the Legislature to join him in co-sponsoring the repeal legislation and to stand up for ratepayers and businesses in New Jersey by ending the economically destructive RGGI Cap & Trade energy tax.

The press conference will take place at Congress Hall located at 204 Perry Street in Cape May, NJ at 10:00 a.m.
