NORTH WILDWOOD – A summertime visitor from Ireland was charged with unlawful taking and criminal mischief after a vehicle theft in July.
Michael Molloy, 30, has been charged with the third- and fourth-degree crimes for a motor vehicle theft reported in the 100 East block of 10th Avenue.
North Wildwood police said in a release that they later located the vehicle after a hit and run in Wildwood.
They posted on Facebook seeking public assistance in locating Molloy. They did not say whether the public’s help resulted in finding him.
Police did not explain what happened in the hit and run, what happened to the truck, or where Molloy is now. According to police, Molloy is a resident of Wexford, a city of about 150,000 on the southeast coast of Ireland.
Any charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
