COURT HOUSE - A Cape May County grand jury handed up seven indictments Jan. 14. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.   

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Andrew Zarharchuck, 55, of Rio Grande, faces a first-degree indictment for the drug-induced death of a female victim. The indictment states that Zarharchuck distributed a controlled substance to the victim, which led to her death. 

The indictment also contains a count for second-degree reckless manslaughter, along with three third-degree counts for distribution of a CDS, possession of a CDS with intent to distribute and hindering apprehension. The drug involved was a mixture of heroin and fentanyl.

Kimberly Biddle, 55, of Swainton, was indicted for fourth-degree operating a motor vehicle under second license suspension. Biddle was stopped for driving while intoxicated (DWI), in Swainton, Nov. 30, 2019. Her license was suspended after an earlier DWI offense.

Michael Tash was arrested, in September 2019, in Ocean City. He faces a single second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree. The indictment states that the child is 2 years old.

Gregory Devery-Haffert, 29, of Sea Isle City, and Brooke Seuff, of Ocean City, face a count of third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin. Devery-Haffert was also indicted individually for possession with intent to distribute, third degree.

Dennis Slack was indicted for making terroristic threats, third degree. The incident occurred in Wildwood Crest, where he was arrested, in November 2019, after making threats to kill two individuals.

Denise Daehling, 34, of Philadelphia, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine, along with fourth-degree aggravated assault on a police officer.

Brian Will faces three separate counts of second-degree aggravated assault, involving three victims in Middle Township. Will was also named on three counts for aggravated assault in the third degree. 

Two remaining counts were third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon was a knife.
