Police Make 4th H2oi Arrest

2022

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE – Police announced Oct. 15 that they had made a fourth arrest in conjunction with the H2oi rally Sept. 24.
Joshua Bocchino, 19, of Long Branch was arrested Oct. 13 without incident, according to a Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office release.
Police credited numerous tips from the public with assisting in the identification of the individual. They had previously released photos of the suspect Oct. 13.
Bocchino is charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, crimes of the third degree, as well as obstruction of justice, which is a disorderly persons offense.
Authorities say he’s being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.
Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland asked for the public’s continued assistance in finding the driver and car associated with a golf cart crash Sept. 24. Authorities say the Honda Accord should have significant damage to the front passenger quarter panel.
Any charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
