Wildwood Country Music Festival Postponed to Next Year

Carrie Underwood To Headline Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood This June

By Press Release

UPDATED: The dates of the festival in 2021 were changed by the Chamber of Commerce. The festival will be held June 18-20-2021, not June 24-27. The release below has been updated with the new information.

WILDWOOD  Barefoot Country Music Fest (BCMF) organizers, in coordination with Wildwood government officials and healthcare personnel, announced today the postponement of BCMF until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally slated for June 19-21 this year, BCMF will now take place June 18-20, 2021 on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey.

BCMF will also be donating 500 festival tickets to healthcare personnel on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19.

BCMF ticket holders can roll over their tickets to 2021, donate their tickets to honor COVID-19 frontline workers, or request a refund.

Organizers originally hoped to reschedule BCMF for later this year, but that became increasingly challenging due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.

“Based on the outpouring of support from fans and the Wildwood community, we’ve worked tirelessly with artists’ management and the city since mid-March to find an alternate weekend for BCMF this year. During this process, the COVID-19 landscape changed yet again,” stated Rob Pedlow of Barefoot Country Music Fest.

“We’re heartbroken over what’s happening throughout the country and disappointed BCMF will not happen in 2020, but felt it was the best decision to protect the health and safety of fans, the Wildwood community, artists and BCMF staff. We’re grateful for Mayor Pete Byron, the incredible City of Wildwood team, and especially the fans that made this inaugural event a near-sellout before the pandemic. We’re getting to work on BCMF 2021 and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone next June,” he continued.

Wildwood Mayor Peter Byron stated, “While we are disappointed that the Barefoot Country Music Fest had to be postponed this summer, we greatly appreciate all of the hard work and effort that went into planning the festival. We look forward to an even bigger and better festival in 2021. On behalf of myself and the commissioners, we look forward to celebrating this one-of-a-kind experience with our community and visitors in the not-so-distant future.”

Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay, and Lynyrd Skynyrd were on tap to headline Barefoot Country Music Fest, and are in discussions to perform at next year’s event. Festival organizers will announce performers for BCMF 2021 in the coming months.
