Cape May Kicks Off Music in the Park

CAPE MAY – City of Cape May announced 2018 summer lineup for “Music in the Park,” free evening outdoor concerts in Cape May. Over 40 concerts will be held in the renovated Rotary Park, located at 400 Lafayette St. in downtown Cape May.
This year’s lineup has something for everyone, including many new acts.  Each concert will offer excellent entertainment in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Highlighting the 2018 lineup for Music in the Park is America’s Sweethearts, a throwback to yesteryear with the sounds of the Andrew Sisters, The Mainliners chorus, The Fabulous Silver Wings featuring country/bluegrass, The Jack Melton Big Band, The Quietmen, an Irish tenor group and for the first time the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band, Rhythm in Blue concert. The series also features some popular local talent including Dean Howey & Friends, The Bastard Sons of Captain Mey, and Blue Bone.
Music in the Park runs June 29 through Sept. 15. Concerts are held every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings at 7 p.m. Patrons are welcome to bring a beach chair or blanket to comfortably enjoy the entertainment.
