Two County Boardwalks Named in ’31 Best Boardwalks for Food in America’ List

By Herald Staff

WILDWOOD – Two Cape May County boardwalks have been recognized in TheDailyMeal.com’s ’31 Best Boardwalks for Food in America’ List.
TheDailyMeal.com ranked Wildwood’s Boardwalk third in the nation, citing its heavy Philadelphia culinary influences as the reason for its recognition.
“The Wildwood Boardwalk food scene is bursting with fried and gourmet options alike,” writes TheDailyMeal.com.
“We know that nowhere in the state or even in the nation can you find more variety or unique food choices than right here on the Wildwoods Boardwalk,” said Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority Executive Director John Siciliano in a release. “We are thrilled to be recognized nationally by TheDailyMeal.com for our great Boardwalk food and thank the owners of all the restaurants and eateries who serve quality, variety and smiles to the thousands of Wildwoods Boardwalk visitors each day.
Ocean City’s Boardwalk ranked 15 due to its classic boardwalk dining experiences.
“There are a ton of places you can casually stop by on the Ocean City Boardwalk,” writes TheDailyMeal.com.
TheDailyMeal.com is a popular ‘foodies’ website that provides visitors with information on all things food and drink through articles, videos and special reports, according to a release.
TheDailyMeal.com determined its results by categorizing popular American boardwalk vacation spots into five separate categories: social media, quantity and quality of restaurants on or off the boards, the variety of eateries, atmosphere surrounding the boardwalk and eateries and editorial judgment.
