On Monday, Jan. 23 at ShopRite of Rio Grande, ShopRite and Sunshine Foundation, a wish-granting organization fulfilling the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, surprised a local boy with his Dream-Come-True trip to Walt Disney World. Mark, age 12, who is diagnosed with autism, will fulfill his dream thanks to a grant from funds raised during the 2016 ShopRite LPGA Classic. As title sponsor of the annual ShopRite LPGA Classic for 25 years, ShopRite has donated more than $30 million through its association with the LPGA, with part of this year’s funds being donated to hunger, health and educated-related charitable organizations in the local community.

“ShopRite is proud to partner with Sunshine Foundation to help Mark’s wish come true,” said Nicholas Sumas, vice president of operations, Village Super Market, Inc., owner and operator of the ShopRite of Rio Grande. “We hope this dream trip to Disney gives him and his family even more hope and strength, and we are honored to help provide a priceless experience that Mark will be able to remember for a lifetime.”
