Pilates mat work is a system of exercises involving precision and control. When the Pilates exercises are practiced on a regular basis, students will experience improved posture, relief from potential spinal challenges, increased abdominal strength, and skillful balance techniques. Pilates exercises will teach students how to use core stability for every day movement. This class will be taught for all levels of Pilates students. Men and women can both benefit from Pilates mat work. The only equipment students will need is a mat, and comfortable clothing is recommended.
Kathleen Jespersen has been teaching Pilates for over 12 years. She has successfully developed programs for all ages and levels of Pilates students. Kathleen’s goal as a teacher is to make all students feel comfortable and leave class with a sense of accomplishment with a desire to return to learn more. Kathleen is also a Registered Yoga teacher of 15 years.
