Let's get this right. The fire was contained to the fish sorting room on the second floor. The room was completely destroyed by the fire. Units on scene were Erma,Town Bank,Villas,USCGFD,Cape May and Rio Grande Fire. Green Creek and West Cape May Fire provided station coverage. Lower Township Rescue was the rehab unit. These are the facts for all reading this mumbo jumbo!! Maybe The Press of AC should get lessons from The Herald on how to get the news, they didn't even have a story in today's paper!!!!!!!!

For years these types of residences have been the most vulnerable both to fire, flood, wind and other natural disasters. My question is - WHY ARE THEY STILL BEING MANUFACTURED? And - it is usually the poor, or elderly who must live in these traps because they are so cheap. Cheap being the operative word. If trailer/mobile homes can be banned, sturdier and disaster resistant modulars would be the best substitute, and at the same price.

IT WAS SCARY WHEN THAT LIVE ELECTRIC WIRE FELL AND THE GUYS STOPPED
THE FIRE FROM BURNING TO THE OTHER TRAILER NEXT TO IT. THANK YOU LOWER TWP FIRE COMPANIES AND TY JEFF FOR BEING THERE.
