The Avalon Police Department hosted a free seminar at Community Hall here June 26 to educate local business owners and their employees in identifying fake greenbacks.

By Leslie Truluck

AVALON –– In 2007, the borough exceeded monthly and annual water allocations.
Therefore, in an attempt to curtail continued water-use increases this year, outdoor residential restrictions have been enacted.

Effective immediately, these restrictions require residents with odd-numbered addresses to water lawns and gardens on odd dates and those with even-numbered addressed to water on even dates. All outside water usage is banned on the 31st day of each month during the declared “water emergency.”

If the zoning board hadn't increased the yard greenery, the water useage would not have risen. Bring back the all stone yards.

Marty's been doing it for years. He wrote the book. Hard to compare anyone to him. Plus sand shifts south, Avalon's one day, Stone Harbor pionts the next.

Glad to see that Mayor Pagliughi has friends in Trenton and is able to get their help with their beach fill project. I only wish our Stone Harbor Mayor had some friends in Trenton that would help with our beach erosion project. Seems like her campaign statements about her friends in Trenton ring hollow.

Gee, let's see, huge houses with huge multi head showers, condo's with whirlpool's, houses with pools. Think that might be the cause?
