Who is Brenda Lee?

For those of us who grew up predominantly in the 1950s, it wasn’t hard to cultivate an interest in World War II, especially when your father (in your mind, at least) was an integral part of that conflict.

AUDIO: Get ready to laugh, and laugh, and laugh... but do so quietly (if you can), and don't annoy your wife.

I’m not a control freak, but I’m an individualist — I like to be in control of my own life.
So it doesn’t make sense that I would be a Dom Irrera fan. This man makes me lose control. And I like it.
I’ve often told others how one evening some years ago while I was watching TV in bed at home, with my wife sleeping soundly beside me, I woke her with my convulsive laughter.

Great interview with Dom Irrera! He's been a favorite of mine for along time.

Also congratulations to the Herald on a great website and newspaper. I've been coming to WWC for vacation since 1958 and it's nice to have such an informative site to visit when I'm not at my home away from home.

Some may think of singer-songwriter John Sebastian, as a mellow, country, folk tinged artist writing hits like “Day-dream” and “Nashville Cats,” with the band The Lovin’ Spoonful. But within lies the heart of a rock n’ roller. He told On Deck his first jobs were playing Duane Eddy tunes. Sebastian had a good reason for a switch to folk music as a teen for a time.
