DRBA Issues Solicitation for Cape May–Lewes Ferry’s Business Submissions

NORTH CAPE MAY - Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials issued the formal solicitation document to private hospitality operators for the management of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry’s (CMLF) food, beverage and retail businesses. The solicitation document can be found at www.cmlfconcessions.com. The DRBA’s goal is to contract with an established hospitality operator by spring 2013.

County Chamber to Host New Executive Director of Wetlands Institute

COURT HOUSE - Dr. Lenore Tedesco, the new Executive Director of The Wetlands Institute will be the guest speaker at the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Feb. 16 Business Meeting. Dr. Tedesco will address members and guests on the new programming at The Wetlands Institute.

The monthly business meeting will be held at The Rio Station on Feb. 16, 2012. Check-in and networking begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program will start at Noon. The cost to attend is $22 per person before February 13th, and $30 after the 13th. The Rio Station is located at 3505 Route 9 South, Rio Grande.

Cape Regional Receives Donation of $100,000 from Thomas and Claire Brodesser, Jr.

COURT HOUSE – On behalf of Claire and Thomas Brodesser, Jr., their daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ken Gomez, presented a check to Cape Regional Medical Center in the amount of $100,000 in support of the Cancer Care Capital Campaign.

The Brodesser Family owns the Beachcomber Camp Resort in Cape May. Tom Brodesser is a past member of the Board of Trustees at the Medical Center. The Brodesser’s have been long-time supporters of the Medical Center, including a two year, $1,000,000 gift to the Cancer Center in 2008.
