Ocean City is the official headquarters of the New Jersey "Pat Paulsen for President" campaign.
Do you remember Pat Paulsen, the comedian from the old Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour? Well, he’s back, even though he passed away in 1997, and he’s running for President again. In fact, this is the ninth time he has made a bid for the Oval Office. In 1996, he finished second to Bill Clinton in the New Hampshire primary. In 1992, in the North Dakota primary, he beat Ross Perot.

Middle 3/12 Video Games - Educational?
Connections | 9 weeks 5 days ago | Comments 0
Cape May County Library will offer a video Game Night on Friday that promises to be both fun and educational.
As if he doesn’t play enough video games at home, your 13- through 25-year old can sign up for the Cape May County Library’s Game Night on Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. I guess they need stiffer competition than what they can get in the family room.
Certainly, I offer my kids no run for their money, since I can’t even get a ball over the net in Mario Tennis, never mind blowing an enemy’s head off with an AK47 in Call of Duty.
Game Night at the library, however, promises to offer various forms of competitive and cooperative entertainment for gamers more enthusiastic than me.

Welcome to Cape May Westpoint City?

State aid is being slashed and consolidation is king, so welcome to Cape May Westpoint or Wildnorthwestcrestwood or Avalon Harbor Isle City or Dennisbine Township.
Welcome to Cape May Westpoint or Wildnorthwestcrestwood or Avalon Harbor Isle City or Dennisbine Township.
These are just a few branding ideas I’ve developed for the new consolidated towns the governor is forcing upon us with his “my way or the highway” plan, which punishes municipalities with fewer than 10,000 residents.
Lower, Middle and Upper townships as well as Ocean City are safe with populations well above the Mendoza Line, but even some of my combinations above fall well below the needed number of souls.

There is a great program being held during the months of March and April. It is a dance workshop being sponsored by the Girl Scouts and supported by the Puerto Rican Action Committee. “Dancing Machine” will be held on Thursdays in March and April, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbine Elementary School. It is open to all children, not just those attending the Woodbine school. It will include hip-hop, ballet, lyrical and modern dance. What a great opportunity for kids. I hope many will take advantage of it. For more information, call Maria Avilles at 364-4867.
