COURT HOUSE — Every once in a while, something good comes from something not so good.

Those who have been following the Indian Trail mining and recycling application before the Middle Township Zoning Board know that it has been a controversial one, but the township might soon see a financial benefit from the ongoing situation.

A local company, Albrecht and Heun and its subsidiary Future Mining and Recycling Inc., has been attempting, for over a year, to transfer its operation on Goshen Road here to a 253-acre site off Indian Trail Road in Burleigh.

I would love to calculate my own tax bill.

If we don't have a contract with A & H for the leaves, don't they have to reimburse the Township for the amount we "paid" them?

Who dropped the ball on this?

Hats off to Lois.

Many thanks to Lois Shuman.

Unfortunately, this is the sort of thing that happens when there are no political checks and balances in government. Our Dems have been free to do as they have pleased for decades. I wonder, too, what else has been going on?

The "audit" was not an "audit" --- check out page 1, where Glen Ortman says the TWp did NOT commission Ford, Scott to do an "audit."

When the Twp finally commissions an "audit" there will be a whole lot more than $180,000 at stake.

Who was watching the store here? Is it true that Alexis took everything under his control? Is it true that the Township did not require Albrecht & Heun to give it copies of all their invoices?

And, how will the investigators finally figure out how much would have been owed, if all deliveries had been wieghed? I think the Twp should allow citizen volunteers to start checking old invoice ..... although A&H will have to provide them, first.

Why does the public have to ask for the result of reports/audits? Why doesn't the Committee transparently share information with the community? Makes you wonder what else we don't know; what else has to be asked for?

Thanks, Joe Hart for reporting what happens in Middle.

Two questions?????

Why does the MUA pay $1.70 per ton of recycles and A & H only $1.00? Shouldn't they both be paying the same amount? If not, why not? The contract needs to be updated.

Where is a copy of the agreement for A & H to take leaves etc from Middle?

We need to stop paying for that service and take them for free to the MUA.
