I am not A COP but I do live on this block and I only wished he hit my home. I am happy the home owners are ok and to the thurs 923pm comment unless you are related to this dirt sit back for a minute and think what would you do if this happen to you? Call the police or give the guy a cup of coffee because he was cold. It amazes me as to the lack of brain cells down here.

Thu, 11/27/2008 - 11:54pm

Hey *** *** If you break something while entering someones property uninvited, it's considered burglary. Don't open your mouth if you don't know what you are talking about! Also if a call comes over the radio of a prowler or possible burglary in progress...you better believer they are sending all available cars! That's how they roll ***!

Thu, 11/27/2008 - 11:48pm

9:23 are you serious? some warmth? you prob would of been scared out of your mind crying on the phone to the dispatcher! Gooood job LTPD like usual!! Keep up the good work!

Thu, 11/27/2008 - 11:27pm

Come to my door, my Rottweiler is hungry and my new Mossberg 935 Magnum Autoloader
needs some breaking in. :)

Thu, 11/27/2008 - 9:23pm

Wow, now LTPD are calling for 3 additional backups rather than the standard 2. Although the suspect does have 2 feet for kicking so that probably counts for the need for additional personnel. Good thing Vanaman was along because his Iraq training probably came in handy for apprehending the suspect. I wonder what the suspect stole for his arrest to be burglary? Some warmth?

Thu, 11/27/2008 - 1:48pm

Fact....He would have been shot if it was my back door.

Wow! You write that your opinion of me (in the form of name calling, very bright mind there!) is that I am an ***? Not spelling someone's name correctly makes that person an ***? You also seemed to have extracted a lot of assumptions about me from a very straight forward post. Assumptions, that I can assure you are incorrect. But even someone like you must know what happens when you assume things, you get a lot wrong.
I have been a hard working resident of Lower Township since 1978. I have been a homeowner and tax payer for 24 years. My home was burglarized twice in that time. One of those times there was no doubt as to who it was that did one of them. The police did not pursue the investigation and what we lost was just too bad for us. There was plenty of evidence, but maybe I didn't "know" the right people.
As far as my friends daughter? Of course she did not help me write my post. She is now, at 27 years old, a CFO of a major corporation. And my point was, that that officer was so intent on getting her convicted, even as a juvenile, on a bogus charge, that her life as it is now would never have turned out that way. For certain her full scholarship would have evaporated at least.
I could say more, but I am pretty sure your post speaks volumes as to your not so nice disposition. Why would feel the need to flame someone who has a different opinion?
Maybe I shoud run this post through my word program to make sure that I do not offend you by making another spelling error.

Fri, 10/17/2008 - 11:00pm

10/16@10:22 Let me start by saying that the 4.4 GPA girl obviously didn't help you write this entry. Yes, we do have a lot of "tourism" in this part of NJ, however, the judge you are referring to is Tourison. Now that we have established that you are an ***, let's talk about the issue at hand. You sound as though you condone drinking and driving as though it's not a "criminal" act. I don't know the situation that you are referring to about the officer, but the fact of the matter is these officers crack down on drunk driving as well as ALL criminal activity in their towns. Let me ask you, do you feel safe at night? If not, then Beck and Lare are not what you want. Let's remember, police officers also get paid for what they MAY have to do, which seems to be alot in Lower Township.

Fri, 10/17/2008 - 10:17am

I realize that the moderators must keep an eye out for improper language and such before posting a comment that someone has to these news articles. But seriously, the place where you ******* out why the police officer was fired in my comment? That was printed in the newspaper, in much more detail, even the places and means that he had commited the acts to get him fired So why edit it out? I never mentioned his name in my comment either. Just trying to understand.
Sorry for going off topic people

Thu, 10/16/2008 - 10:22am

Mr Beck probably just realizes that there need not be so many man hours directed toward giving some residents a hard time by lying to pull them over two blocks from their own home to give roadside sobriety tests in hopes of putting another notch on their belts of a DUI arrest. Maybe if those officers were trying to solve or prevent CRIMINAL cases things would be more balanced. The one officer who was fired *** pulled over a friend of mines's daughter, with a GPA of over 4.40, a senior in high school and thought the Christmas decorations in the back of her truck were marijuana, and when he realized that they were not what he HOPED, he then tried (and failed) to charge her for possesion of "black tar heroin". That black tar heroin was electric adhesive for the stereo her father had just installed in her first vehicle. She was a minor at that time (this happened some time ago) and her parents had to hire an attorney and fight the whole thing. It cost her parents big bucks for his creative imagination. He was still active on the force until they just could not ignore HIS behavior. How dare these men have the power to instantly judge, roadside, who or what someone is when they themselves are people of questionable repute? And Judge De Weese? Please don't ever expect anyone who knows his true nature to actually respect him. He acts as though his whole life is pristine, unlike Judge Tourism who happens to be human and has always been a much fairer judge.
Sometimes I think about "to protect and serve" and have to laugh out loud, please.

Wed, 10/15/2008 - 7:04pm

Residents of Lower Township, this is yet another example of your police department doing a good job. Get ready for a big change! If Mike Beck gets elected he has promised to not raise taxes. He has also said he would reduce the police department through attrition. The police department would be down from 54 officers in 1994 to less than 40 officers by the time Mike Beck and Kevin Lare are done. Same money for less services. Just what most people want less for the same amount of money. Mike Beck will have his wish come true. Lower Township residents will be treated to a Philadelphia like experience. More criminals, more drugs, more violence and less police services.
