The renowned Kauriga Balalaika Orchestra will perform a lively concert of Russian, Ukrainian and Slavic folk music 7:30 p.m., Sat., Oct. 25 at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace in Ocean City.

Folk dancers and singers will be included in the lively and inspiring program.

Lois Smith, local jazz singer extraordinaire, continues to thrill audiences throughout the region with her powerful yet sensitive voice and her sassy attitude. Supported by a superb group of jazz veterans, she’ll once again take the Jazz Vespers concert stage at the First Presbyterian Church 500 Hughes Street (corner of Hughes and Decatur streets, Cape May) Sunday, Oct. 18 at 3 p.m.

You may think that the summer is coming to an end but not in Ocean City where a great concert line up continues through December.

Ocean City is partnering with local lodging establishments and restaurants to offer great discount packages for each concert. The Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club of Atlantic and Cape May Counties will phlock to the Lou Booth Amphitheatre in North Wildwood for their August meeting, on Saturday, August 16, for a free “Concert Under the Stars” with Jimmy and the Parrots.

The Stockton Performing Arts Center goes to the “beach” again this summer presenting eight concerts in the seventh annual Stockton Goes to the Beach Summer Concert Series at the Music Pier in Ocean City.
On Monday, August 25 at 8 p.m., Stockton Goes to the Beach continues the summer fun with Juno Award-winning rumba guitar flamenco master, Jesse Cook.

On Aug. 23 at 5 p.m., world-renowned vocalists Javier Gonzalez, Karla Rivera and German Rodriguez will perform at the Parkway South Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Marmora.
The concert will feature favorites such as, “Amazing Grace,” and “At the River,” and will include the group’s hit songs, “Someday,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and “Nella Fantasia.” Gonzalez, Rivera and Rodriguez make up Bella Voce, known for its powerful sound and unique harmonies.

Wildwood Crest Recreation Department wants residents and visitors to further enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Sunset Lake with their new Sundown Celebrations, held every Friday evening at 7 p.m. through Labor Day Weekend.

Sundown Celebrations will include live music, children’s activities and other family entertainment, like karaoke, face painting, moon bounce, stilt walker and more.

Sundown Celebration will take place on the Sunset Lake embankment at Miami Road and New Jersey Avenue.
