Junior Duck Stamp judging March 31 at Wetlands Institute

The panel of judges includes ornithologists, carvers, philatelists and conservationists.

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade around the state select a species of North American waterfowl, do research on the
species and the habitat and then depict the waterfowl in an artistic medium with judging in four age groups.

The Best of Show is sent to the National Junior Duck Stamp Competition which will be held on April 17 at the San Diego Zoo; the winning national entry art is used for the 2008 Federal Junior Duck Stamp.
