The Woodbine Public Library will present a special art program for children this fall. Children ages 6 through 10 are invited to enjoy “Art at the Library – Picture Books and the Art of Collage,” sponsored by Cape May Center for Community Arts every Monday from September 29th through December 1st at 3:30 p.m. The Woodbine Public Library is located at 800 Monroe Street in Woodbine, New Jersey.
After enjoying a picture book by authors/artists Eric Carle, Denise Fleming and Leo Lionni, children will then create art work to resemble the collage paintings shown in the book by combining the mixed media of pencils, watercolors, pastels and “pulp painting.”
This program is made possible through funding from the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
