Summer Drawing Classes at Libraries
Back by popular demand! The Cape May County Library is delighted to offer summer drawing classes. “Learning to Draw – Learning to See; the Next Level” is for both the beginner and advanced artist. Exercises used during class are adapted from theories relating to drawing using the right side of the brain.
Classes are at the following Cape May County Libraries:
• 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, July 2, 9, 16 and 23 at the Upper Township Public Library, 2050 Route 631, Petersburg (628-2607)
• 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, August 6, 13, 20 and 27 at the Lower Township Public Library, 2600 Bayshore Road, Villas (886-8999)
• 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, September 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the Cape May Court House Library, 30 Mechanic St. (463-6350)
Class instructor Margaret Heuges holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Drawing and Painting from Temple University. Heuges has taught at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Trenton State College, Atlantic Community College, Abington Art Center, The Baum School of Art and the Community College of Philadelphia.
Each class is limited to twenty people and registration is required. Participants must have a valid Cape May County Library Card in good standing. Supplies to be brought to the first class include an 11X14” sketch pad, 3B pencil, eraser, and charcoal sticks.
