OCHS Substitute Teacher Arrested on Sex Charges

WOODBINE — On Tuesday May 13 detectives at the State Police Woodbine barracks arrested a substitute teacher accused of having sexual relations with a student at Ocean City High School.

Police said 24-year-old Robert Dilullo of Evergreen Drive in Ocean View, Dennis Township, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and enticing a minor with alcohol.

The charges arose from a complaint of a 17-year-old Ocean City High School (OCHS) student who claimed she was in a relationship with Dilullo which began in December 2006 when he was a substitute teacher at the school.

Police said the girl claimed the two began a romantic relationship in December 2006. During that time Dilullo would text message her and meet her in unoccupied rooms of the school where they engaged in sexual activity, according to police.

In August 2007 Dilullo reportedly invited her to his house where he allegedly served her alcohol, she became intoxicated and passed out.

“When she woke up she learned that she had been sexually assaulted and broke off the relationship after that time,” according to Sgt. Stephen Jones, spokesperson, NJ State Police.

The NJ Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) recently learned of the situation, Jones said, and reported it to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office who requested State Police investigate, as the crimes are alleged to have occurred at Dilullo’s home in State Police jurisdiction.

Dilullo posted a cash bail of $100,000 May 13, Jones said. He remained as a substitute teacher with OCHS until December of 2007. He now works as a cook in Ocean City, according to police.

i have been a very good friend of Bob's for about 15 yrs now. I went thru school with him and have known him for many many years. I have slept in the same house, as well as bedroom many many times. Bob has grown up with 3 sisters as well, and I can honestly say that of all the guys I know, Bob has much more respect for women than most if not all guys that I know. He is a great guy, with a great sense of humor who is a lot of fun to hangout with. He is the type of guy I would trust any female in my family with. He has a huge heart, and is the kind of guy who will bring a smile to your face even when the worst of things are going wrong. I KNOW for a fact there was no "ongoing" relationship between him and this ******. I will forever stand in his corner, and nothing anyone says can turn my head the other way. Bobby D, I love you and I pray for you every day. No matter what happens, I will always be here for you as I have loved and looked at you as my own brother for many years. Hang in there bud. How do you account for all of the innocent men released from jail after DNA evidence proved their innocence? Police evidence isn't infallible. Hopefully the truth will come to light during the trial, whatever the truth may be.

exaggerating stories and lies... hmmm...interesting.

Then its a good thing police cant arrest someone solely on a story.
Its also a good thing that police have to have evidence and real proof to arrest someone.

For the people commenting that the girl is lying, learn about the justice system.

The police dont arrest someone after only hearing a story. They do an investigation first and then arrest someone.

THE EVIDENCE FOUND GRANTED FOR HIS ARREST, not her story.

I don't think the comment made stating "no innocent man willingly turns himself in" is necessarily true. I don't know this man but I know he's supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty

It doesn't matter what her myspace page is or what her character is. It doesnt make it right. Don't we teach our children to tell. I was molested countless times as a child by teachers, neighbors and family members. They were highly repsected too. So are we really sending the message that we will verbally attack someone for being a victim? This is so sick to me. I just hope when some of you have children or if you have children that you don't treat them this way if they say someone apporached them wrong no matter what kind of person others portray the person to be..

Do you think state police would arrest a man with no evidence? and then charge him of three harsh crimes? NOPE.

And no matter how 'unjust' or 'out of character' it seems to all of Bobs friends.. then why did he TURN HIMSELF INTO STATE POLICE?!

No innocent man willingly hands himself over to police. All of Bobs friends.. dont worry.. the entire story will shortly be told after your friend is in jail and you'll see all the hard evidence. It truely saddens me that you are so quick to try and turn the story around.

It's only a matter of time before she get caught in her lies.  Hang in there, Bob.  She's a hormonal nutcase.  However I do hope she receives some kind of mental help - and no, not from what has so called been done to her (accusations), but because many teens these days look for attention in the wrong ways. I've been a friend of Bob for over 12 years now ( and yes, I'm a female) and this whole case is unjust and simply a shame. Bob has been made the victim. Show us the hard evidence, people. The proof. Text messages don't mean rape. And having sex in empty classrooms, please girl - let's be honest. Actually, just check the copious cameras of the new OCHS. ... You got nothing.

I'm sorry but this is not who Bob is! Bob is a respectable guy who is nice to everyone. I'm a friend of Bob's and it seems completely out of his character to do something like this. It seems to me this girl wanted some attention and brought it on herself. This is just absurd.

Oh and Bob's parents must be so proud too. Even if she was 124 years old, it is still legally wrong for him to have sex with her if he is a teacher with authority over her. Dont blame her for the sick and perverted actions he willingly involved himself in

Are you serious? I don't know if you are a friend of Bob's, but you honestly believe that a 24 yr-old teacher, put in a position of authority and trusted by the parents and community, is the victim? You are ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

She’ll tell you she’s 18 at least. And if you check her MySpace page, it indicates she was 18 as of January of this year. That is, if you can look at the page long enough since it immediately launches an abrasive and lewd song about how boys better @%&* her right and all other sorts of other lady-like things. Her parents must be so proud.
