DENNISVILLE — Dennis Township volunteer firefighters battled a fire at Dennisville Fence Company’s workshop, 200 Hall Avenue, May 9 about 2:30 p.m.
The fire was fed by a large quantity of cedar, used in the production of fences.
A Dennisville pumper was called to provide pumper service from Dennisville Lake at 2:34 p.m.
County Fire Marshal’s Office personnel were alerted to respond to the scene at 2:41 p.m.
The Cape May County Fire Police were also called to assist with traffic at the scene.
Shortly before 3 p.m., mutual aid was requested from Middle Township fire companies, including Rio Grande and Court House, as well as members of the Water Tender Strike Team.
At about 5:30 p.m, two more fire units were recalled to the scene, reportedly because the fire had reignited.
No further information was available.

why did it take so many fire departments, the building isn't that big. Do our fearless firefighters need to be retrained, so they can handle these kind of calls.
