The Main Branch of the Cape May County Library will present “Props, An Adventure In Theatre,” a mini-workshop, on Tuesday, May 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Library is located at 30 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
Be your own favorite “American Idol” by enjoying fun with music, breathing and movement. The purpose of the course is to bring more joy into your life through play. The course was developed from the original “Performance Lab,” a course given at Star Search Studios in Philadelphia. Participants are asked to bring a Hula Hoop, to be used as a prop, and a crate to class.
Class instructor is Andrea Pinkett who studied two years at Villanova and two years at the Stage One School of Acting. Pinkett is a favorite performer at the Showboat Hotel and Casino; Musical Director at Entheos Ministries in Philadelphia, and offers her magical, musical ministry for the Center of Peace in Philadelphia. Pinkett has taught theatre and body movement under the auspices of Freedom Theatre at Temple University. She has recorded three compact discs: “Reach Out,” “I Choose His Love,” and most recently “Turn It Up.”
The class is recommended for ages eighteen and up. Registration is required along with a Cape May County Library Card in good standing. For more information call 463-6350.
