Pricey Turf Goes for Sheriff’s Sales

RIO GRANDE — Two sheriff’s sales, totaling over $10 million, are scheduled to take place March 19.

The larger is for $7.1-million and is scheduled to take place today at 1 p.m. for a 48.91-acre tract of ground at 3600 Route 47 here.

The sale is scheduled to take place at the Court House Building, 9 North Main St., Court House, according to a legal notice in the March 12 Herald.

Plaintiff in the matter is Michael Karp.

Defendants include D’Angelo Investment Group LLC, and Cindy Gorman “as tenant.”

The notice lists four prior mortgages on the property:

First mortgage, William Penn Savings and Loan Associates, Sept. 12, 2003 for $3 million.

Second mortgage, Santo L. and Doris E. Cardile on Oct. 16, 2003 for $500,000.

Third mortgage, Pulte Homes of N.J., LP on March 25, 2005 with no secured amount listed with the mortgage modification agreement.

Fourth mortgage, Santo L. and Doris E. Cardile, Cardile Corp. and Aspen Fish Co., on Oct. 6, 2005 for $100,000.

Taxes are current through the fourth quarter of 2007.

Amount due under the judgment is $7,174,182.22, with costs, interest and sheriff’s fees to be added.

A separate sale is for land at 6211 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood Crest.

According to another legal notice, Cape Savings Bank is plaintiff and Joseph F. Connors is defendant. The amount recorded in the mortgage document to be satisfied is $3,602,654.56.

Sheriff John Callinan, as in all similar sheriff sales, reserves the right to adjourn any sale without further notice of publication.
