West Cape May Sewer Extensions to Begin in September

WEST CAPE MAY — Work is expected to begin in September on a sewer extension project in the borough to install pipes where service is currently not available.

The project extends current sewer service and in some areas fills in gaps between two ends that flow in opposite directions, according to Engineer Ray Roberts of Remington Vernick. He said the project would bring service to some properties that currently have septic tanks. The borough will continue to have areas not served by sewer.

Cape May Has a Ticket for You

CAPE MAY — The city has a ticket for you but it’s a ticket you’ll enjoy. The city is purchasing a ticketing system for the new Convention Hall.

At a Tue., Feb. 7 City Council meeting, Mayor Edward J. Mahaney Jr. introduced Michael Chait, assistant director of marketing, communications and event sales for the city. He is a former corporate advertising and sponsorship sales manager for Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.

Mahaney said the ticketing system would generate revenue for Cape May.
