 <title>Cape May Hopes Police Picketing Will Cease</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;
CAPE MAY —  City officials expect police officers picketing in front of the new Convention Hall to disappear for the facility’s grand opening Memorial Day weekend.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A dozen police officers, active and retired, walked a picket line for two weeks outside the city’s new Convention Hall to protest their frustration in working without a contract.&lt;br /&gt;
They carried signs complaining the city signed a contract with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops orchestra but police have been without a contract for 18 months. Nero and the orchestra are in concert in the hall Sat. May 26.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;CAPE MAY — The City of Cape May has scheduled a public presentation  Fri, May 1 8 at 10 a.m. at the new Cape May Convention Hall, located at 714 Beach Avenue on the oceanfront. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During this event, the five Temple University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management faculty members, who served as principal investigators during the Cape May-Temple partnership from Sept. 1, 2009 to the present, will review the following five essential deliverables which have been completed in synchronization with the Grand Opening of the new Cape May Convention Hall:&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;MAYS LANDING – AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Professional Development and Recognition Council (PDRC) recognized Jeannette Alcantara, of Mays Landing, as its 2012 Amanda Scholarship Fund recipient May 11 at ARMC’s Atlantic City Campus. Alcantara, a nursing student at Atlantic Cape Community College, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for nursing school. Family and friends of the late Amanda Cortopassi, a nursing student who passed away in 2005, established the Amanda Scholarship Fund in her memory.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;CAPE MAY – The Cape May County Library invites the public to attend the “Felted Soap” workshop instructed by Paige Cunningham at 10 a.m. on Sat., June 9. The program will take place at the Cape May City Branch Library located at 110 Ocean Street, Cape May City.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Participants will learn the craft of wet felting by creating a felt covered bar of soap that is fun to look at and use. All it takes is hot water, a little agitation and voila. Please bring a bar of soap or two to class.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Mrs. Richardson was born on May 22, 1912, in Poulan, Georgia, to Willie and Georgia Starling. She is the second oldest of five children. She and her younger sister, Lillie Mae Johnson of Whitesboro, are the two living siblings.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;NORTH WILDWOOD — The 18th Annual North Wildwood Fancy Brigade Association Weekend, one of the most popular events in this City, will take place June 8-9. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It’s a two-day affair filled with music and fun.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The weekend kicks off with a Friday Night Mummers Pub Crawl that begins at 7 p.m. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;On Sat. the fun begins again with a Block Party on Olde New Jersey Avenue from 3:30 p.m. until the parade steps off at 4:45 p.m.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ten of the best of the brigades that entertained Philadelphia crowds on New Year’s Day will march the length of Olde New Jersey Avenue.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Changing of Guard in West Wildwood Fills Borough Hall </title>

WEST WILDWOOD — Over 200 friends, family and residents filled Borough Hall to witness the swearing in of this tiny municipality’s new mayor and commissioners. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Christopher Fox stood with his daughters Nicole, Paige and Grace while former Sen. James Cafiero administered the oath of office, bringing Fox back to the mayor’s seat he vacated four years ago. His swearing in was greeted with applause and whistles. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Scott Golden, the sole incumbent reelected to the Board of Commissioners was accompanied by his mother and fiancé as Cafiero administered the oath.  &lt;/p&gt;
