Wife of Doctor Accused of Murder Arrested After Glass, Note Found

Sheriffs officers lead defendant George Carty, 50, into and out of the courtroom June 27 in his prison garb after his request to wear civilian clothes was denied. On June 30, prosecutors reported that contraband was found in the clothes his wife had provided for him June 26.
COURT HOUSE - Prosecutor Robert Taylor June 30 announced the arrest of Cheryl Carty, 49, of Cape May Court House, wife of accused murderer George Carty, 50, after a sharp piece of glass and a note were found in clothing she dropped off June 26 at the Cape May County Correctional Center for her husband to wear for an arraignment here June 27.
Taylor said in a release that a piece of sharp plexiglass, along with a handwritten note, was found in the clothing when Sheriff's Officers searched it prior to George Carty appearing in the courtroom.

She did not try to help him escape.In fact, the plastic they found was part of a broken hanger and the charges against her were dropped.I have never seen so much misinformation in my life.

If Cheryl Carty belives her husband to be so innocent why did she try and help him escape.
