According to The International Organization for Migration Europe get the most migrants, followed by N America, then Asia. If I could find a rank by individual country I would think that the US would be first, given it's size.
Immigration isn't only based on where people want to go...it also depends on that country's immigration policies. Obviously, smaller countries can't support as large numbers on migrants than countries the size of the US. Canada, France`all get their share.
I doubt this by itself makes a country the greatest. |

Actually China and Canada and The USSr are all larger then the US. Europe is a continent. Now addressthe emigration rates. All those that think the US stinks and hate it here are free to leave based on our emigration policy. Please go.
Just curious...what countries were numbers 1, 2 and 3? |

I didn't mention China. In case you're not aware....China is not Asia, which also includes India, Mongolia, a large chunk of Russia, the Middle East, Mongolia, Japan...etc.... I was talking about population as well as geographical size and the size of the economy. We have twice the population of Russia and 10 times that of Canada. We also have much larger economies to support immigrants...that's something that we are the best at...the size of our economy. Of course most of that goes to a miniscule percentage of the population.
I hear a lot of "red neck" logic in you comment. You think that anyone that doesn't believe in burying their head in the sand and ignoring problems and pretending...or worse...being completely clueless... that something is other than it is, thinks the country stinks. It's the opposite, I have a lot of pride in my country and am competitive by nature. I want it to be the greatest country again. Sorry, but reality is so much better than make believe. ... I think it's people like you that should leave the country so that others could go about making this country truly great again.

As someone who has been through the immigration process it's not easy and it is very expensive. |

Thanks for this post...not sure if it has anything to do with making us the greatest country, but at least you contribute facts to the discussion. |

And Im sure that number doesnt include illegal aliens. With the US being such a horrible place a whole lot of people want to leave other "better" places to come here.
Dont forget that your little study has its own definition of great that maybe not all of the world agrees with. |

Well this shows that we rank 37th in the world. According to some posts here, it is un-patriotic to post this and those of us that acknowledge this fact hate our country and should leave immediately. It is much better to pretend that it isn't happening, that will solve the problem.

I just asked what is the country great at...I bring this up because I resent that..in many ways it's not...even though our leaders try to convince that it is...and because I want it to be. I did acknowledge that we were great in some things. We are still the richest country...although that mostly benefits a relative few. We still have the biggest economy, etc.... I didn't define greatness and never said that it was horrible.
Stop throwing a tantrum. Somebody needs nappy time. |

| Doesn't exactly answer the question. You asserted you disagreed with the definition of "great" in the World Health Organization's little study of 190 nations' health care systems. Please elaborate? |

I'm not familiar with your past posts so I don't know if your serious here or just joking. A demonstration of people booing muslims has nothing to do with this subject. Are you trying to say that if people want to educate themselves and make America great, they are somehow pro-muslim?

United States: Number One in External Debt to Foreign Countries.
(And 47 Republican Senators just voted we pay them first, before Social Security or Medicare, or veterans benefits,
or federal unemployment or anything else when we reach the borrowing limit.) |
