When: Wednesday, August 30 at 11 a.m.

Where: Tabernacle United Methodist, 702 Seashore Rd., Cape May

Veterans who have seen combat, or have friends and family who were lost to war, know the lifelong pain that comes with military service. Pelican Pointe, in partnership with other local organizations, will host “National Grief Awareness Day” for Veterans via a special ceremony on Wednesday, August 30 at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Cape May.

Veterans will be acknowledged with a certificate and pinning ceremony and will be provided with resources and support as they deal with grief.

If you are a veteran who wishes to attend, or if you know a veteran that you wish to honor, please RSVP by calling or texting Susie Fuhrmann at 856-397-8220.

Be sure to include your contact information, name of veteran, military branch, and years of service. This ensures that a certificate and pin with the correct names will be ready in time.
