8 from the GREEDY state of Texas, 2 from Florida, several from NC These are all states who have received hurricane relief. This is nothing but GREED and if they are voting red state /blue state a BIG HUGE SHAME ON YOU. This is the USA and when Representatives are not there for THE people we should do everything in our power to make sure they do not get elected again.

EVER paper in NJ, NY, CT EVER National News station should bring up their names.

This shows true colors, not red, not blue.

Most Republicans are caring, generous people. It's the fringe element that has taken over the party, It's time these lunatics are sent packing.

What they voted no to was a pork bill.

Insurance companies have estimaed the damage to be about 20 billion.

The bill was for 60 billion because it was loaded with pork.

No votes saved the taxpayer 40 billion dollars.

Apparently, FEMA has not released all the money ear marked for Sandy victims.

Two pork loaders were the Senators from NY.

That's why our Congress is so dysfunctional, Tea Bag.

They can't just pass a bill to address the issue, the opposing side always wants a "compromise", code word for if you want me to vote for your stuff then I'm loading this bill with a bunch of freebies for my supporters for my next election.

It's no different than the bill they just passed to stop tax increases for people making up to $400 thousand. The bill was "backloaded" with billions in give a ways to Corporate contributors for the next election, courtesy of the taxpayers.

NO it was a 9.7 billion package and do really think the Representatives from TX, FL, NC, SC would have voted no if this big a thing would have happened in their coastal states. Do you think KS/OK would haved no if a huge tornado had hit their states???

Most voted no because they were afraid some club which rates politicians would give them a low rating for voting for it. This was because "it wasn't paid for with a cut to offset the cost". This was never an issue in previous disaster funding but these guys are afraid they will have republicans running against them in the next election, even more off center nutcases. If an offset is a new policy they want, you fund this disaster and make it a rule everyone knows and agrees to, then apply it to the next disaster. Real people need real help now, do what you were elected to do--HELP PEOPLE!! You cannot govern by worrying about the next election, but by doing the right thing , stop being such idealists and be public servants.

Pork? Republicans control the House..what pork? From Republicans...? Funny.. Republicans never complain about "pork" when they are getting it--or when their states benefit from it, or when they vote for bloated military spending that is pork-filled...

Yet the President still doesn't have line item veto power. "Pork" only seems to bother the people who aren't eating.

Don't waste your breath, TB. If MSNBC says it's so, the sheeple swear to it.

Good! Why should we pay for someone to build in a floodzone? If you want to build there then YOU pay for the repairs.

PS. I thought the Dems were against the bailouts. ARe they now for bailouts?

If Jersey Democrats with million dollar homes in floodzones want to share the rebuilding costs then do we get to share the capital gains when the homes are sold?

That bill came to the House from the Senate where the porkers uploaded 40 billion dollars including the two Senators from NY. There is a push to have named all those who larded up this bill which will be needed to supplement FEMA which still has not utilized all of its funds for these areas.

Time the President cut the red tape as he said he would and let FEMA do the work that it has funds to do here.

My understanding which I will have to verify is that this bill is to fund the insurance program which does not have the money to pay to those insured. I'll check and share.

States that were affected by Katrina received over 116 billion. Some of the same representatives that ask for money down South, refused 9 billion to us. Mo Brooks from Alabama (received Katrina $) stated " The Government should not fork out a nickle to areas historically vlnerable to storms". Now I would say Alabama gulf coast has had many major tropical storms and hurricanes (58 in past 141 years). How many has NJ and NY had??????? Stupid comment from a selfish man.

This is not about some wealthier folk's homes, it is about many middle class, working people who have lost their homes in ravaged communities, not just the barrier islands, its not just about wealthier folks. People are still in shelters ,small business's have been decimated and folks are out of work. Stop deflecting the real focus, this is about regular people and their govt's failure to help. It was ok to help in the past but suddenly not now. Not the time for grandstanding and ideaolgy, a time to HELP!!
