The Ol' Mikedee with his stupid ideas. As long as he doesn't have to deal with the common folk his ideas are great. But god forbid he has to deal with any tourists. I guess the only tourist needed in CMC is him.
I guess this dunce will want his own entrance at the VFC now |

That's crazy talk. Almost as crazy as pushing back the dunes along Beach Drive so the people in NCM can ride their bikes all along the Bay. Who would want that?....certainly not the people of the Villas. |
Cuda, Please Answer This. Why the HeII do you care what goes on in North Cape May?? Is Mikey putting you up to this?? |

If anyone wants to fish they can go right up the street to Douglass park and fish off the rockpiles. Rockpiles are much sturdy during storms and winter freezes than a fishing pier. $$ for repairs
I have been on other fishing piers in CA and NC and they become smelly and slimy from bait and fish guts. If you do not pay for someone to take care of the trash it is left behind because nobody wants to bring home an empty plastic bag that once held squid.
$$ for trash collection a few times a day.
Are there going to be restrooms and who is going to pay to maintain them? $$ for restrooms or outhouses and cleaning.
Where is everyone going to park? $$ for parking lot and trash cans.
The water along the bay does not move the way the ocean does, so the fish carcasses and bait will be washed along the beautiful beaches.
We have great beaches here and that is the beauty of Lower Twp....don't screw it up. |

Sanchez........Why wouldn't anyone who lives in Lower Township care about North Cape May? It's one of many unincorpoirated towns...like Erma, Villas, Diamond Beach, Fishing Creek, Cold Spring....and more which comprise the Township of Lower.
beachnutz......How long do you figure the current beach is from Town Bank to the Ferry Canal......a mile or more? I believe there is plenty of beach, for the people who kayak, swim, or sunbath.....plus those who like to fish from a pier or watch a beautiful sunset.
It is my understanding the fishing pier would be built at Lincoln Blvd & Beach Drive....at the Southern most end of the North Cape May residential area where the houses stop and at the beginning of the preserved conservation land/beach. |

Most walk to the beach, and take an innocent walk in the bay to pee.
We don't want Villas critters walking in our water. It's bad enough the storm drains discharge directly into the water. |

Really? I don't see this as a problem
While the North Cape May beachgoers walk into the bay to pee, the Villas "critters" on the fishing pier would certainly be able to notify those below, with something similar like..."Hey look, it's raining".

...and who is this "surf fisherman" on the committee?
If we're talking piers, I want a pier fisherman on the committee. Not some ham n egger who hangs out on the beach. |

Mikedee.....So what if Deb Johns was from Port Richmond.......half the people in Lower Township were born somewhere else. What are you....one of those "From Lower, For Lower" people who believe only the people born in Lower Township matter and should decide what happens in the township?
KOS.........I agree........Mikedee appears to be one unhappy fellow.... |

Villas Trash! Wow. I just built a $300'000 house in the Villas, and I find out I'm now trash. Spent 35 years as a Philly Firefighter, and now I'm trash. Really! Most of th homes on my block are very nice, with no trashy neighbors and the Police are never around here. I spent my life doing the right thing, raising nice kids, being a good neighbor, and now I'm being called trash because I live in the Villas. There are some areas of the Villas that are trashy, but for the most part it is a great area. I've found that you will find trash in every neighborhood, from the richest to the poorest, and that includes North Cape May.
In regards to the Fishing Club. I've been a member for many years and have never been sorry. Great place to eat too. Once in a while, a piece of trash will walk in, but they behave or they're out. Just like any place else. 90% of the members are great people. Let me add that if the pier goes up, I will be one of the trashy people fishing off of it. |

Don't take Mikedee seriously, Takedown. As you can see from his posts, Mikedee hates everyone..the Villas, people from Middle Twp., Upper Twp. and even Port Richmond.
You are in good company in the Villas, as the whole development was originally sold primarily to Philly police and firefighters. Even our Mayor Beck is a retired Philly police officer. |

The only way a Philly fireman is building a $300k house anywhere is if he kept a sock sewn inside his bunker coat for 35 years.
The more Philly trash we have moving in, the trashier that place gets. |
