Boatloads of Fun! The Bayside Center at 520 Bay Ave. in Ocean City will once again offer seating for the Night in Venice Boat Parade, which takes place this Saturday. The center will be awash in activities when the gates open at 5 p.m.
The Good Tymes Band will perform for two hours in the pavilion area at the center starting at 5:45 p.m. Children’s activities, including face painting a favorite fish or dinosaur by students of Ocean City High School Art Club, will take place from 5:30-6 p.m., donations requested.
Turtle Time will take place from 6-6:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, have a picnic, and then watch the parade. A refreshment stand will be open from 5–7:30 p.m. The boat parade will pass by the Center at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Admission for the Night in Venice activities at the Bayside Center is $7 for adults and $3 for children. Tickets may be picked up at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For additional information, call 609-525-9300.

No Strings Attached! The entertainment is free at the Upper Cape Branch Library, 2050 Rt. 631 in Petersburg, when “The Peppermint Puppeteers” will present an environmental puppet show, featuring superhero “Zapman,” on Monday, July 27, at 2 p.m. For further information, call 609-628-2607 or visit the Web site at www.cmclibrary.org.
Abracadabra! Chad Juros, an award-winning magician from the South Jersey shore area, will entertain at the Upper Cape Branch Library on Wednesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. Juros became interested in magic at the age of three and began performing professionally at the age of six. He has entertained at various places around the country, including the White House, by special invitation of President George Bush and First Lady Laura Bush in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Juros was a finalist in the Volvo for Life Award and was given the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Leukemia Society. He is a two-time cancer survivor and founder of Spread the Magic Foundation, which is a nonprofit corporation that performs magic for pediatric cancer patients.
