Boardwalk art show in Ocean City

The Ocean City Arts Center presents the 47th Annual Boardwalk Art Show Aug. 7 – 9.
This event has become one of the largest summer art shows on the East Coast, with artists from California, Kentucky, Illinois, Vermont, Hawaii, and Canada, as well as many other states, and will be showcasing their works in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen and ink, photography, and mixed media.
This show is juried exclusively as a two-dimensional show.
Artists begin setting up at dawn, Aug. 7 and judging begins at 11 a.m.
This year’s judges include: noted North Jersey artist Sarah Becktel (portrait/large scale); John Begnino, Professional Photographer of Philadelphia, PA, and noted Lambertville and New York large scale artist, Tom Birkner, known for his oversized canvases depicting, among many NJ subjects, his Jersey Girls collection.
Ocean City Arts Center Board Members will choose the Center’s Purchase Award.
Altogether, awards will be presented by Ocean City Mayor, Sal Perillo and the many Awards’ Sponsors representatives on Aug. 7, 7 p.m. at the Ocean City Arts Center in the Gallery at 1735 Simpson Ave.
The Boardwalk Art Show spans from 8th to 12th sts. Hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.
