The unions in Cape May are the WORST. They bully and harrass people into hiring them and then stretch out jobs to maximize pay. When exactly did we stop living in a country where people can hire whomever they want (so long as the workers are in this country legally) without being tormented by borderline extortion?

There are other skilled workers in Cape May who deserve the work as well and these unions harrass them and try to shut down their projects. Last I checked we STILL live in a country where you are entitled to fair hearings by officials who follow the rules (and aren't just union shills) and where you can hire skilled workers whom you choose. I am SO disenchanted with towny Cape May politics. Laws need not apply here evidently and fairness is just a buzz word with no meaning.

So what job did you miss out on, that prompted you to join spout off and complain about local unions?

He likes the foreign workers so he can pay slave wages and direct his workers to the social services and let the taxpayer subsidize his company... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Unions had a purpose, but now they are all about greed, creating outragous taxes the people in the community can't afford. All they do is TAKE TAKE TAKE, then wine like little babys when they are asked to give back. I now have NO RESPECT for ANY POLICE OR FIRE personel in Wildwood for what they did. They rather run the town into the ground.

I agree unions had a purpose but now they are just greed and taking as much as they get. Exactly what do you get for those high union dues???? Campaigns against the employer???? Oh I forgot the free health benefits for life, high salaries, pensions, and job protection!!!! Some day you may have to face the real world and actually work for what you get!!!! Life is about hard work not hand outs!!!!

The unions in Atlantic City have been put on the chopping block. Why is it so difficult to do the same in the public sector? It seems the public unions have a lot more money to spend fighting and lobbying any threat against them.
Pretty soon the only people with jobs in this country will be public employees and foreigners.

Unions had a purpose and now that Unions have been destroyed, their pupose is nolonger being met. Living fair wages have been under attack since the 70's. Now that the Unions are nearly gone, the middle class is nearly gone.

There is no "official" middle class number on income. or wealthy either. Median income for family of 4 is below 60k median salary is closer to 40k. Take into account Health Care /education you can see how today's "middle" class is living from paycheck to paycheck and are 1 paycheck away from financial ruin. On top of that add in the highest debt levels in history and maybe you can understand how I view the middle class as being decimated.
