By Herald Staff

COUNTY PRESS RELEASE:
CREST HAVEN — Freeholder Gerald M. Thornton today (Tuesday, Nov. 3) announced that the Cape May County Health Department has received a limited amount of seasonal flu vaccine. While supplies last, the department will begin vaccinating by appointment only. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Freeholder Thornton said, “The seasonal flu season peaks between late January and late February in New Jersey so there is still plenty of time to get a seasonal flu shot and be protected.”
As a reminder, children less than 5 years of age who attend a licensed daycare or preschool are required by the State of New Jersey to receive a seasonal flu shot between September and December each year to attend daycare or preschool.
To make an appointment or for more information call the Cape May County Health Department at 609-463-6581. Also, information on new seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccination clinics will be posted on the Department’s website www.cmchealth.net .
