Wildwood Clerk Receives Recall Petitions

WILDWOOD— The recall election of Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. and Commissioner Bill Davenport, may soon be underway, according to published reports the Wildwood Recall Committee turned in the required petitions on Monday, May 19 to the Wildwood city clerk.
In order to set a date for a recall election, the groups had to collect 615 signatures from registered voters in the city. The city clerk has until June 3, to verify the committee has the 615 signatures.
The group lists runaway spending and property taxes as some of the reasons for the recall.
