LT Republicans Host Beach Clean up over Weekend

By Herald Staff

On a cloudy day, the Lower Township Regular Republican Organization hosted a beach clean-up Saturday, June 12. Volunteers collected trash from the Delaware Bay Beach between Village Road in the Villas and Douglass Park in North Cape May. This area covers about 3.5 miles.
“It was a successful event. It was good to see so many people volunteer their time on a Saturday in June to serve our community,” Lower Township Regular Republican Organization Leader Jeff Lindsay said.
Among the 34 volunteers were Lower Township Councilmen Glenn Douglass, Tom Conrad and Erik Simonsen. According to Lindsay, the beach clean-up ended with hot dogs and sodas.
