Typical, try to blame everyone else by refusing to accept the facts.

It is called an unfortunate accident!

It is called personal responsibility!

She was 35 and made bad decisions!

Blame, Blame, Blame!

Disgusting! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

This was a botched up investigation all around. It seems there's a lot of cover up going on. The woman was found with bruises. And she might have been saved if the police allowed someone to give her CPR? All seems very suspicious to me. Women don't just walk around by themselves and fall into a canal.

A quote from last year in the Herald

"Hottenstein’s parents, Charles and Betty Hottenstein of Telford, Pa., said they are still waiting for forensic details that might shed light on their daughter’s final hours. But they complained to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office about a conversation they had with Prial days after their daughter died.

“She said, ‘I’ve seen this numerous times. Your daughter’s bones were brittle, and it’s a classic sign of an alcoholic, and she had a terrible diet,’” Charles Hottenstein said."

Show some class and leave this family alone.

We don't know the facts. Maybe she could have been saved and the lawsuit is legit.

Facts are known. This was simply a tragic accident. Please feel free 2 send a belated sympathy card and some money. The most sad part is parents have changed the memory off their fun loving daughter to negative karma upon an entire city. Please GO AWAY!

I don't know the investigation was necessarily botched up. All the facts would have to be disclosed for that opinion to be rendered and you know how the prosecutor is about releasing facts. The cause of death was determined to be “Hypothermia due to exposure complicating acute alcohol intoxication” with the manner ruled as accidental. This seems to be a reoccurring theme and a statistical maneuver so commonplace with the PO. In the 2009 county crime report her death is listed as a "significant investigation". Is it me or does this give the PO less accountability while also giving them the appearance of doing some investigating but not being able to comment on it.

Just a thought ... maybe slamming everyone with subpoenas is the only way for the family to get answers. I don't know if I could ever get closure with my daughter freezing to death but I sure would want to know about the guy she was last seen with ON VIDEO just a few hours before her "accidental death".

Who cares what people think. Mob mentallity is often wrong. Let it play out. With the judges around this area the family will get nothing unless it is tgotally foun ded. Judges are puppets down here. This family has no chance unless the facts weigh heavily for them.

Guy makes the right decision not to take a sloppy drunk home but doesn't do the right thing making sure she gets home safely. Shady but not sure if that's a lawsuit.

thats the problem anymore...no personal responsibility or accountability. everything is someone else's fault and that means a frivolous lawsuit from some bottom feeding lawyer
