Crest Cyclist Injured in Accident

WILDWOOD CREST — Borough police responded to an accident at 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the intersection of Palm and Atlantic Avenues.
There they found Richard Melosh, of Midland Park, injured on the side of the road.
According to a report by police, a vehicle, driven by Joseph Gloria of Coral Springs, Fl. Failed to yield to Melosh, who was riding his bicycle north on Atlantic Avenue.
As a result of the accident, Melosh sustained head injuries and was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center by the Wildwood Crest Rescue Squad.
Gloria was issued a summons for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
The accident remains under investigation by Police Officer Jon Weigand.
