Elayne Carolyn Andersen, 78, passed away peacefully with her two children by her side on March 23, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA she lived out the rest of her days in Upper Township, NJ. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and attended Rosemont College. She had a successful career as an executive secretary for several major corporations including Amoco Oil Company and Container Corporation of America. She found her true passion when she became a certified aerobics instructor for the City of Sea Isle City where she formed many lasting friendships. The bond of the “Aerobics Chicks” can never be broken.
She leaves behind her two children Patricia Prince and Elizabeth (Frank) Conrad; four grandchildren including Ashley Conrad and Kyle (Adina) Conrad; and her great-granddaughter Carter Conrad. She was reunited with her loving husband Thomas Andersen, and her parents John and Florence DeMarco.
Elayne was an avid lover of German Shepherds. Her “pack” was her world. The dogs brought her great joy and comfort. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Garden State German Shepherd Rescue [GSGSR.org] PO Box 495 Edison, NJ 08818. As per Elayne’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
