SHAW, DIANE ELAINE

SHAW, DIANE ELAINE Diane Elaine Shaw, a resident of Cape May Court House, passed away on June 4, 2023. She was 83. Diane was born in Pinewald, NJ on April 2, 1940, to Aubrey and Elna Norcross, both now deceased. She grew up in the South Jersey area and graduated from Wildwood HS in 1958. She married Dick Shaw in 1959 and helped him build Shawcrest Mobile Home Park. Diane got her pilot's license in 1969 and worked as a First Officer for South Jersey Airways commuter flights and flew in numerous transcontinental air races. Diane had many hobbies including cooking, tennis, and golf. She was on the Board of Trustees of the Naval Air Station Wildwood. She was also a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and served several terms on the Church Council. She will be sadly missed by her family and many, many friends. Diane is survived by daughter, Deanna Wilson (John) and her son, Rip Shaw (Dyan), and former husband and special friend Herb Schulke, as well as her brother, Ken Norcross (Betty) and her sister, Kris Renza (the late Robert), and seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Norcross. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 11am at the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Church Street and Magnolia Drive, Cape May Court House. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for later this summer.
