Man Dies of Injuries Sustained in Aug 19 Route 347 Crash

LEESBURG— William Stafford, 29, of Millville died Monday night of injuries sustained in a single car crash on Aug 19, the Vineland Daily Journal reports.
Stafford was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Lynann Slaney, 23, of Millville. According to state police Stanely was traveling in the northbound lane of Route 347 when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason, veered to the right and struck a tree at mile post 6.5 at 1:00 a.m. Stafford was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Leesburg Fire Department.
Slaney, suffered injuries to her torso and hips. She was transported to Vineland Regional Medical Center by Belleplain Emergency Corps and Underwood Paramedics.
State Police cited Slaney for driving with a suspended license, careless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia. The accident is under investigation by troopers at the Port Norris station and members of the fatal accident investigation unit.
