The Fishing Line: Still hibernating

By Carolyn Miller

It’s been very, very quiet on the fishing scene. That will all change shortly. The longer days and warmer winds will start to lure us back on the water. Keep those sweatshirts and gloves handy.
Here are some recent success stories from the Atlantic Star, Wildwood Crest. They sail Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday by reservation.
Peter Wong, NY, NY, Doug So, Philadelphia, Pa., Don Marks, Philadelphia, Pa., Lun Feng, NY, NY, and Peter Lee, NY, NY, all caught the limit on sea bass up to 6 pounds.
Bruce Lee, Fort Lee, caught the 7-pound pool winner.
On the next trip Eric Lau, Brooklyn, NY, had 22 sea bass; Stanly Nowak, Queens, NY, had 21; Roman Lapinski, Queens, NY, 19; and John Zema, Cliffwood, 18 sea bass. Fish were ranging up to 6-pounds.
A third outing saw Ralph Molinaro, North Haledon, with his limit of sea bass, and Angelo Ruvino, North Haledon, Joe Cho, Hicksville, NY, Paul Parks, Wayne, Pa., all did the same.
Mike Bishop, Brooklyn, NY, had the pool winner with a 17-pound Golden Tile fish.
Other charters still going out are North Star Express, Ocean City; Fins&Grins, Wildwood; Bodacious at Miss Chris Marina, Cape May. Check the Websites and call ahead to check sailings and make reservations.
