The Holiday Season Kicks Off at Cape Regional Medical Center

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – On Mon., Dec. 5, the holiday season was ushered in with song and laughter by more than 40 children from the Early Education Center and the lighting of the tree at Cape Regional Medical Center.
The Annual Cape Regional Medical Center Tree Lighting Ceremony is a holiday tradition enjoyed by all members of the Medical Center family as well as the children of the Early Education Center. While caroling for their parents, visitors, and Medical Center staff, the children were delighted to be joined by a very special guest – Santa! As the tune of “Where is Santa?” filled the air, right on cue Santa Claus arrived. Not only did the tree light up, so did the smiles and awe-struck faces of the children.
“This year, we are pleased to support Cape Visiting Nurse Association with proceeds from the Tree of Remembrance,” stated Julie Paolella, Director of Volunteer Services. “The Tree of Remembrance is located in the East Lobby of the Medical Center and is illuminated with angel ornaments and white lights which have been purchased to honor of or in memory of a loved one. The Tree of Remembrance is helping to make this the brightest, most meaningful tree in our county by supporting Home Health and Hospice Services at Cape VNA.” Illuminated ornaments and lights can still be purchased “In Honor” or “In Memory” of loved ones by calling the Cape Regional Medical Center Foundation at 609-463-4040.
Cape Visiting Nurse Association is a joint venture between Cape Regional Medical Center, New Jersey’s southern-most gateway to advance care, and Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, a premier Medicare/Medicaid-certified provider of home health, hospice and community-based services. Cape VNA delivers the most advanced, comprehensive clinical home care and hospice services to the residents of Cape May County.
